Supabase Auth: Bring-your-own Auth0, Cognito, or Firebase

Supabase, the open-source backend platform, has announced three new features for Supabase Auth, including third-party Authentication, extending multi-factor authentication (MFA) to support SMS and WhatsApp, and introducing new Authentication Hooks. Third-party authentication products such as Firebase Auth are now supported. Supabase has extended MFA free of charge, which can help developers considering accessibility use cases. The new Auth Hooks support HTTP endpoints as a webhook now and includes features such as a "Send Email" and "Send SMS" Auth Hook, allowing for more customizability to emails and text messages. Supabase Auth also has built-in support for popular SMS sending providers like Twilio, Messagebird, Textlocal, and Vonage but developers can implement their own SMS sending provider using these Hooks.
