Introducing the new Next.js Runtime

Netlify has announced the release of Next.js runtime v5, a framework designed to improve the performance, reliability, and maintenance of Next.js sites and apps. The update builds on Netlify's reputation for providing a native Next.js development experience and delivering day-one support for all Next.js features. It includes significant new features that enhances website and application performance and supports Next.js version 13.5 and above, with Node.js version 18 and above. The new runtime will be rolled out to all eligible customers based on certain prerequisites, and Netlify remains committed to improving the developer experience and supporting all frameworks.
