Netlify launches a HIPAA-compliant service offering

Netlify has introduced a Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) compliant service for enterprise customers dealing with personal health data. The service uses the same security measures as in the core platform, but also includes an added audit to ensure adherence to healthcare data regulations. This makes it suitable for transmission and processing of Personal Health Information (PHI). HIPAA compliant service expands on the existing security measures in the core platform and helps maintain a high standard of data protection. Businesses handling PHI can also sign a Business Associates Agreement (BAA) with Netlify for HIPAA compliance. The move adds to Netlify's list of industry-standard certifications including AICPA SOC 2 Type 2, ISO 27001, ISO 27018, and PCI DSS v4.0.
