GitHub Accelerator Showcase: Celebrating our second cohort and what’s next

GitHub has unveiled and applauded the contributions made by 11 open source AI projects selected for inclusion in the second part of its Accelerator Showcase. The showcase, a way for GitHub to strengthen its mission to enable over one billion developers worldwide, celebrates those who have excelled in open source AI development, offering them the chance to share their experiences and insights with others in the developer community. During the ten-week showcase, participating maintainers gained beneficial knowledge and insights from industry experts at GitHub, Microsoft, and beyond, exploring the legal, ethical and responsible aspects of AI while also honing skills in building open source AI technology. As part of their participation, the maintainers received a comprehensive curriculum, mentorship, and $40,000 in non-dilutive funding via Github Sponsors.
