vec2pg: Migrate to pgvector from Pinecone and Qdrant

Supabase has introduced a command-line interface utility—vec2pg—designed to facilitate data migration from vector databases to any Postgres instance, using the pgvector extension. The tool creates a new schema with a table corresponding to the source, which is then populated with data from the vector databases. Users can then manipulate the data using SQL to restructure it fit their preferred schema. At launch, vec2pg will support migrations from Pinecone and Qdrant, with availability for more providers planned based on user demand. Users are advised to have sufficient disk space for their vectors and consider the geographic co-location of their development machine, cloud-hosted source database, and the Postgres instance. The utility's performance, measured in records per second, varies according to several factors including the network and vector dimensions.
